ABOUT 'NADA' - Carmen Laforet

Carmen Laforet was only 23 years old when Nada, her first novel, was published in Barcelona in 1945. The book was an instant success and got several awards, including the first Nadal Prize.

With Nada, Laforet continued the tradition of existentialist literature and reflected on post-war society in europe through the eyes of a young girl studying in Barcelona.
